Visitor Visa

A Visitor Visa is a document that grants you permission to enter Canada. Most people need a Visitor Visa to visit Canada, with the exception of residents of visa exempt countries.

There are 2 types of visitor visas:

  • Multiple Entry Visitor Visa: which allows you to visit Canada multiple different times
  • Single Entry Visitor Visa: which allows you entry into Canada only once.

Although visitor visa applications have a high refusal rate, Canada issued Over 650,000 Visitor Visas to applicants last year alone, and every year that number increases.

People visit Canada for a variety of different reasons; to visit relatives, for tourism, to decide whether Canada is somewhere they want to immigrate to permanently.

If you’re interested in becoming a permanent resident of Canada, it’s highly recommended that you visit Canada at least once.

Visitor Visa FAQs

You can bring your spouse/common law partner and children with you to Canada, once you get approved for a Visitor Visa.

It really depends on the Visa Application Centre in your home country. It can range from as little as 30 days to much longer than that.

You can increase your chances of approval by demonstrating strong ties to your home country, such as a history of stable long term employment, investments, property ownership, a pension, tax returns etc.

How FHA Immigration can help
